John

Studio Director

John is the Studio Director and has been passionate about photography from an early age. It’s a career that has seen him travelling the world (not that he ever talks about it…) through to setting up his first portrait studios when he was fresh faced and full of beans in his early 20’s, many many years ago.

His life revolves around his family with wife Lindsey, twin boys Arthur & William and, of course the studio which is his second home. These combined most definitely keep him on his toes!

John takes great pleasure in conducting many of the client viewings and loves seeing client reactions when viewing their images and offering help and advice on how to get the very best from them for years to come.

Lindsey

Relationship Manager

Lindsey and John have been married since 2010, after giving birth to twin boys William and Arthur in 2014, she is now part of the studio team working on various projects within the business.  Before having the boys Lindsey worked in client facing roles so has continued to work in this area at the studio by maintaining the corporate relationships which have been set up in the local area.

Lindsey is always on the hunt for someone to come and help with the boys when John is working (any offers…?) she loves spending time with her family and occasionally being able to escape to have a few hours away from the chaos to catch up with friends.

Chris

Head Photographer

Chris is head photographer and has held this role for over 10 years.

The most enjoyable part of the role for Chris is providing families with timeless images that they can cherish and be proud of, and hopefully have on their walls for 20+ years. Chris also enjoys the challenge of relaxing and easing the concerns of the more apprehensive clients, bringing out their personalities and ultimately capturing the perfect expressions at the perfect moment.

Other than his 3 children, Chris’s other passion is comic books and super hero’s, his favourite being Batman, who adorns one of his dressing gowns. Chris is also a keen footballer and plays 5 a side on a Friday night with a bunch of old men.

Chris has a growing interest in tattoos and has a submariner on one arm and an angel on the other, however, he is struggling trying to persuade his wife to let him have a Cat Woman tattoo covering the entirety of his back.

Rosie

Bookings Manager

Rosie is head of the bookings team and has been with us over 7 years.

Rosie enjoys being the starting point of the families journey with us and preparing people for the experience ahead. A large part of Rosie’s role is finding out about the members of the family and learning about their personalities interests and hobbies, and in turn, providing them with ideas and suggestions on what to bring along and how to make the most of their session with us

Rosie has a firm interest and no shortage of talent in professional make up and is always in demand when friends and family have days out and need to look their best

Rosie has a keen eye for fashion and is always shopping online, although she has managed to have items sent to the wrong address on numerous occasions by accident!

Kara

Digital Artist

Kara is our Digital Artist.

Kara’s favourite aspects of her role are providing the finishing touches to your images to a high standard, whether it be removing cuts, scratches, blemishes or even dog fur from clothes all the way to being more creative and making something more individual to our clients images.

She is constantly testing herself and learning new tricks to create out of the ordinary images.

Aside from being a digital artist, Kara is a self-confessed shark nerd and ocean lover and one of her favourite things to do is scuba diving and snorkeling at every opportunity, with one of her life long dreams to swim with Whale sharks and Manta rays!

Kara is also a tavelholic and loves to visit as many countries as she can and finds the differences in culture and scenery fascinating (and if there is an ocean to swim in that’s a bonus)

Outside of the studio she also enjoys photographing the places she visits as well as Wildlife Worldwide, all this while studying for her degree in photography.

Caroline

Bookings Consultant

Caroline has been an important member of the bookings team for over 2 years. Caroline is very experienced on the phones and thrives in the busy atmosphere.

She enjoys building a rapport with the clients and, being a mother of 2 herself, loves sharing stories and experiences with parents about their own little ones.

The apples of her eyes are her young children, both who she absolutely dotes on, and her motherly instincts are put to good use in the office as she is always looking after and caring for the other members of the team. She is the organiser of the group, and no-ones birthday is EVER forgotten when she’s on the case.

Caroline is a bit of an indie chick and loves the local music scene, keeping very up to date with the newest and freshest bands and tunes, although is partial to Peter Andre at any opportunity!

Natasha

Photographer

Natasha holds the enviable title of Bartley Studio’s first ever new employee, joining us immediately after our re-brand in April 2016.

Natasha has sailed the seven seas, docking in over 30 countries worldwide as a ships photographer. She has since decided to drop anchor in Warrington and it’s now full steam ahead for her as our newest photographer.

Growing up, she actually wanted to be an international spy! She picked up a beautiful film camera whilst backpacking around Europe and after developing her rolls of film on her return home, she realised that photography was her real passion! The idea of being able to glimpse into other families lives, hearing all their stories and then capturing the magic of it all is why Natasha adores photographing for us. With her background in newborn & family portraits, she loves photographing beautiful and creative images families can proudly show off in their homes for years to come.

When Natasha’s not bouncing around the studio, you can find her in her kitchen whipping up all kinds of weird and wonderful veggie culinary delights! Her quest is to convert the other staff members here but unfortunately no has been tempted by her avocado chocolate puddings or peanut butter filled dates so far!

Sammy

Receptionist & Social Media Assistant

Sammy is the newest shiny addition to our team, originally from old London town, she’ll be sure to make you feel right at home! You’ll be able to see what we get up to with Sammy’s fun input on our social media via Facebook and Instagram, so feel free to have a good snoop and remember to follow us so you can keep up to date with what the teams been up to!
She’s all about the feels and good times to be had. There’s nothing more satisfying to Sammy than capturing special and fun moments then being able to share that with people, cause if it makes them feel good, it makes her feel good… isn’t that lovely.

With a filming degree underneath her belt and a passion for music, Sammy’s always on the hunt for inspiration to help her create the next best thing! She says she’s no Steven Spielberg but they have the same initials, so close enough! She loves to explore new places, having traveled as far as Thailand and Vietnam to gain all those life experiences, meeting new peeps and seeing all the wonderful things the world’s got to offer.
When Sam’s not gallivanting across the earth, she’ll take any chance to venture out and photograph some urban exploring with her pals, Or you’ll find her rummaging through Netflix, watching all things Louis Theroux or if you can recommend any documentary like Making a Murderer, let Sammy know! Along with her favourite shows such as RuPaul’s Drag Race, Peep Show and The Office US (oh! and not forgetting her guilty pleasure, Love Island).

William & Arthur

Apprentices

As the youngest members of the Bartley team at just 3 years old, William and Arthur take great pride in their positions as Apprentices within the business.

Never before have we seen such loyal and selfless employees, asking only for payment in the way of lollipops, pink for William and Orange for Arthur!
